ROC computers are well suited to the marine environment due to their excellent levels of sealing and waterproofing.
They can be used in a range of on-board monitoring, display and control applications and are provided with a versatile set of interfaces to support a wide range of operational environments.
ROC features that make them well suited to marine applications include:
• solid marine grade aluminium casing
• sealed against water ingress
• high performance & reliability
The ROC MDP-1501 LCD Display Panel has been designed for incorporation across the Royal Australian Navy Collins Class submarine fleet to provide an operator display facility at various workstation positions. The display features:
• high brightness, wide angle display panel
• solid marine grade aluminium construction
• high shock & vibration resistance
• wide temperature operation
• EMC qualified
• VGA & DVI signal inputs
• automatic video signal detect
• softkeys operator input panel
• 115 - 240 VAC operation
ROC-SOLID integrated version was successfully tested for water ingress by fullying immersing into an aquarium tank whilst fully operational (see photo).
This test validated the levels of sealing achievable in ROC-SOLID that makes them so well suited to applications in which water ingress may be a factor.
ROC computers are available in a range of configurations including:
• modular system (separate display & CPU)
• integrated CPU/display/touchscreen
• display unit only
